Larry joined Edell, Shapiro & Finnan as a partner in 2023 and has been practicing law since 1988. Larry specializes in patent litigation and has held numerous first-chair jury and non-jury trial roles in cases in federal district courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). He has over 100 district court cases and more than three dozen ITC Section 337 investigations to his credit, and his expertise encompasses a broad array of technology sectors, including biotechnology, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, telecommunications, computers, and mechanical systems. Larry has argued several appeals, including before the 2nd, 4th, and Federal Circuits. Larry has also testified as an expert witness in U.S. district court on ITC Section 337 practice and procedure. Larry further uses his litigation experience to counsel technology clients on the strategic acquisition, licensing, and assertion of IP rights.
Larry is a past president of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association and previously served several years as the Chair of the IP Litigation Department of a major national law firm.
In his free time Larry enjoys spending time with his family, reading, live music and fantasy baseball.
