Ying Yu Chen joined Edell, Shapiro & Finnan in 2024 and has been involved in the intellectual property field since 2017. Ying Yu received a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science from Swarthmore College. Ying Yu focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution and specializes in a wide variety of technologies, including:
- wireless and network communications
- artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms and systems
- computer hardware and software
- IoT-related technologies
- mobile communications systems
- control systems
Prior to joining Edell, Shapiro & Finnan, Ying Yu worked at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a Patent Examiner for over 6 years examining patent applications in artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms and systems.
In her free time, Ying Yu enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
