Ron Grudziecki joined ESF in 2018 after a long career in IP law starting with his employment at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner while attending law school in the evening and continuing through boutique IP Firms and general practice firms.  He has represented clients from around the world in patent prosecution, opinions on validity and infringement concerns, licensing and litigation.  Ron has first-chaired numerous patent litigations and has tried cases in the Federal District Courts and the International Trade Commission.  He has also handled appeals to both the Federal Circuit as well as to the D.C. Court of Appeals.

Ron has a background in materials science but has been involved in many different technologies particularly in the IP licensing arena.  In recent years, he has been involved in the licensing of inventions ranging from biotechnology to athletic gear.

Before involvement in IP, Ron was an Engineer with Alcoa making myriad products from aluminum.

Pre-pandemic, Ron traveled extensively and hopes to again.  He has been a collector of modern American folk art and southern U.S. pottery.  Reading and enjoying life are prime pursuits.
